Organic Search Engine Marketing - Much More Than SEO

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

Search Engine Marketing is the art of establishing a website or network of websites in a highly prominent position in search engines results for the purposes of attracting the stream of people actively seeking information, products and services. Generally speaking, the better your position, the more interested, highly motivated “traffic” you get. More traffic means more business. More business is our bottom line.

Organic Search Engine Marketing differs from common Pay Per Click (PPC) or Cost Per Click (CPC) strategies by focusing on improving standings within natural search results. Industry research shows that 70% of search engine users prefer to click on natural listings, eschewing paid placements and advertisement listings. Organic search marketing produces results that are prolific, robust and remarkable.

Search Engine Optimization is the practice of strategically designing your website so that the topics and terms you are invested in can be easily identified by search engine robots (often referred to as “spiders” due to the nature they scurry through your site’s content and linking structure). Through the use of tags, keywords, page titles, content, links and the like, a well optimized site dramatically increases the likelihood of being found through the search engines on its most relevant terms. Your websites visibility is essential to your online business, and what business can justify the loss of revenue that comes from poor optimization? Simply put, we will lay a rock-solid foundation for building a powerful online presence.

Successful companies know search engine marketing is one of the most powerful tools available to increase reputation, sales, and brand visibility. Every day there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people actively seeking your goods and services - Are they finding you first?

Starting a football programme collection

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

To effectively begin a football programme collection, an individual needs to choose a theme to their collection. There are thousands of programmes available in the United Kingdom, and even more worldwide. To give a collection a of purpose a theme ought to be adopted to avoid unwanted accumulation and to keep to a preferred budget.

Sometimes you come across a football programme that joins or crosses two themes at the same time. These may prove to be valuable acquisitions in years to come as they signify an important or historical occasion, which will muster memories for football fans from across the globe in the future.

A football programme is a great way to record a memorable event at a specific game. This could be in the form of some sort of achievement such as a player milestone, which is featured in the programme itself. A player milestone could come in many formats, such as an appearance record, a goal getting record, the final match of a players career, a number of years of service by the manager, and much more.

The sadder side of soccer is also often recorded in match programmes. These tragic events attract collectors who see them as poignant reminders of the past. They are sought after and valuable as a result. The tragedies at Bradford, Ibrox and Hillsborough have collectible programmes connected with them, not only for the match itself, but also the subsequent commemorative matches.

A notably valuable set of football programmes to own are those related to the Munich Air Disaster involving the Man Utd team and Busby’s Babes. The programme from the game against Partizan Belgrade who Manchester United were playing on the tragic trip can sell for over £1000. A similar sum can be achieved for the programme against Sheffield Wednesday directly after the disaster, where the players list wasn’t filled in for the Manchester United team.

Notable events are usually reflected in the content and style of the programme. Important football programmes to collect are final games in an old stadium, or the first issue within a new one. Most programmes of this type are easily available with interesting features and historical information, making them a gem in any soccer programme collection.

Programmes often mean different things to different collectors. You may value a prticular programme highly for entirely personal reasons and memories which they may conjure up. For other collectors the pursuit is one of passion, understanding more about the history and traditions of a football team that they support. Whatever your reason, collecting football programmes is a highly rewarding hobby, and comes highly recommended to any soccer fan.

Matcha Green Tea Powder

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

Matcha Green Tea Powder may be a bit more expensive than other green tea products, but that is because it is hand picked and only the best tea leaves make the cut, and it takes a long time to grind the leaves for the powder. Powdered teas have been around since the Song Dynasty and the preparation and drinking of the tea was performed as a ritual by the Zen Buddhists.

Technically, the cost of the matcha green tea powder depends on the grade of the powder.  One such grade has to do with the location of the the leaf/leaves on the tea bush. Those leaves picked from the top are softer and considered a higher grade whereas the leaves at the bottom are harder and considered to be of lower grade.

Other grade levels that are considered are where the leaves are dried. The leaves are not to be exposed to direct sunlight in order to preserve the quality. Care in grinding, which requires a special technique to maintain the best grade. Lastly, the tea leaves must be kept from oxidation to retain the finer grade of tea leaf.

Matcha is not only used as a tea to drink, but also in chocolates, candies, Swiss rolls, and other desserts. This flavor has been incorporated in other foods such as ice cream, milkshakes, puddings, cheesecake, and  even energy bars because of its nutritional value. The  nutritional value of matcha green tea powder is high as it is loaded with ecgc and antioxidants. Matcha green tea powder can be found in health food stores nearly anywhere.

Matcha green tea also helps your body to eliminate toxins, resulting in some weight loss. This tea is very good for you in many ways, and can be used in many forms. The history of matcha green tea powder is both interesting and informative.

Animal Shelter Support: Needed In Hard Times More Than Ever

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

Animal Shelters always need support, but now, during this down economy and continuing housing crisis, animal rescue facilities need more animal shelter support, money and other donations then ever.  Why is this true?  The main reason is that lots of pets are being abandoned by people facing foreclosures.  These people, in such stress that they feel they are fighting for their very survival, often leave a dish of water and some food behind and take off without their pets when moving out of their foreclosed homes.  Because of this, there is a sudden surge of pets being rescued by local animal services and kept at animal shelters.

On top of this, the adoption rate probably does not go up but even decreases during difficult financial times.  So these animals are being left at shelters for longer times than during a good economy.  All these additional animals need medical care, cleaning and feeding for longer times.  The cost of food and other supplies is higher for the animal shelters than at other times.

How can you help animal shelters?  There are various ways to help animal shelters. The most obvious is to donate money.  You also may be able to donate time if volunteer positions are available.  Volunteer time can include processing pet adoptions, holding special pet adoption events in public areas such as malls, cleaning cages, feeding, playing with animals, training animals and exercising them.

If you don’t have time or money, you may have other resources a shelter could use.  You could donate extra pet food and supplies.  You could donate an old car that they can resell to you for money.  You can even use extra points or airline miles to donate to animal shelters.

There are lots of ways to donate to animal shelters, so search your soul and see what kind of aid you can afford.

Housing market: Past, Present & Future

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

It’s been well publicised lately that the housing market is on the brink of a crisis – in fact, the crisis has hit the US already. As mortgages become harder to come by and homeowners begin to struggle with rising interest rates and lower demand from buyers, the market is faced with a vicious circle in which prices keep falling, but there are not enough mortgages being offered to increase demand.

What happened? -  a timeline
The problems can be traced back to the housing market in the US, in which people with poor credit history (known as ‘sub-prime’ borrowers) were allowed to take out mortgages – many of whom subsequently could not keep up with payments.

Many of these mortgage debts had been ‘bought’ by UK banks, meaning they were now responsible for receiving the repayments. However, due to the amount of times these debts had been bought and resold, it was often difficult for banks to predict how much of the debts would be repaid.

When many of these sub-prime borrowers began to fall behind on repayments, it hit whoever ‘owned’ the mortgage debts – meaning both the US and the UK were affected. This is what became known as the ‘sub-prime mortgage crisis’.

What is happening now?
UK banks’ losses have in fact been small so far – but there is a risk that they could get a lot bigger. For this reason, they are very cautious about new lending, and so they are tightening the criteria needed to qualify for mortgages.

The knock-on effect of this is that houses are harder to sell, meaning prices are getting lower. However, lower mortgage availability means that demand isn’t getting any higher – so house prices are likely to fall further – and so the cycle continues.

The Bank of England has acted on two fronts; debt management & lower interest rates. Most significantly, they have swapped £50bn of secure Government Bonds in return for banks’ mortgage debts – effectively a show of confidence that sub-prime losses will not be as big as the banks feared. This move is designed to calm the insecurity that is causing the tighter lending policies and prevent any particularly dangerous drops in house prices.

Additionally, they have lowered the basic interest rate in order to convince banks to lower mortgage interest rates – but this is currently not working, and so the problems continue.

What happens next?
There are mixed opinions amongst the experts:

RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors)

  • Predict that house prices at the end of 2008 will be down by 5% from the end of 2007
  • Sales will be down by 40%

CML (Council of Mortgage Lenders)

  • House prices at the end of 2008 will be down by 7% from the end of 2007
  • Sales will be down by 35% to 770,000 sales

Although the extent of the predictions vary, nearly all experts agree that the housing market is increasingly on the downturn. House prices have only fallen slightly so far – but if the trend continues, the housing market will decrease in value significantly in the coming months.

The US have already been through what the UK is going through now – a tightening in lending criteria combined with  fewer mortgages – and they have seen some sharp falls in house prices. Many economists believe the UK will follow this pattern.

Banks need to continue borrowing and lending, if a little more carefully than before, if the market is to recover. If they don’t, house prices will continue to fall, and it could be years before they begin to rise again.

Why You May Need A Copywriter…

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

For some reason hiring the services of a professional online copywriter is way down the list of most entrepreneurs’ things to do. And of course, it should be number 1. If you want your site, any site, to convert better to make more sales then you need to hire the skills of a freelance copywriter. You could of course do it yourself but that means spending a bundle on Amazon (the easy part) and then a couple of years’ hard slog before you become at least adequate.

Persuasive words that sell are the one thing you need to have a chance of making any money at all - epspecially in the crowded world of the internet. So why do so many people pass up the chance of working with a top grade copywriter when it should be one of the first things they do?

Well for one thing, too many people think it’s just “words on a page” and surely anyone can do that. Right? Not so…learning how to pull prospects into your copy and hold them there, building desire until they absolutely have to have whatever it is you’re selling is a special skill and one that can’t be learned overnight.

On top of that being able to write copy that stands out in the information age, that towers head and shoulders above rival products is no small task. If you think you can achieve this with no understanding of copy you’re sorely mistaken. The one thing you do have though, is a personal view of your product which, when combined with copy skills, can make a very persuasive offer. Product knowledge plus purposeful copywriting means a ton of sales. Don’t skimp on the most important part of the sales process.

Digital Camera Buying Tips

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

Are you going to buy a digital camera? Here are a few suggestions on how to buy the digital camera that’s right for you.

Brands

Do your research for a digital camera under one specific brand. Switching back and forth between different brands can create unnecessary confusion. Brands do share common basic functions, but obviously they don’t all share the same technological features which make a brand different or unique… maybe even better for what you want from a digital camera. For example, the SD750 has a feature that automatically focuses in on a subject’s face.

Megapixel

Don’t let megapixels be the only deciding factor for choosing your digital camera. More megapixels in a digital camera doesn’t necessarily mean better picture or print quality. Although the trend has been for digital camera manufacturers to offer 8, 10 or 12 megapixel digital cameras, Consumer Reports research shows that a 7 megapixel digital camera is adequate for the average digital camera user. The Canon SD750 Digital Camera has a resolution of 7.1 megapixels and has many favorable reviews.

Zoom

Just remember the most important thing about zoom on a digital camera; optical and digital zoom are not the same. Digital zoom or magnification is achieved through the software within camera. Whereas, optical zoom is magnification through the camera lens and is higher quality that what can be achieve from digital zoom. Consider what types of pictures you will be taking. Automatic point and shoot digital cameras such as the Canon SD750, have 3x optical zoom and regular or hobbyist camera users will be happy. Anyone who will be taking sports or nature pictures may want a camera with 10x optical zoom lens or more.

Following inflation reports

Posted by xpress in Uncategorized

There are many reasons to follow inflation measures aside from simply staying ahead of price hikes on cars, refrigerators and other big ticket items, which by itself can save you thousands of dollars over years of planning. Excessive inflation is bad for more than just your monthly budget. It’s also very bad for many stock investments as it puts pressure on corporate profits and decreases real dividend yields. And while high inflation is a very bad thing, a big drop in inflation can be the first sign that things are going bad economically. A sign of an exceptionally big economic downturn is when the inflation indicators start to show the opposite effect, dropping prices or “deflation.”

If you’re interested in getting ahead of the curve in spotting inflation, the best bet is to go to the source. The fundamental source of most inflation is simple - more money chasing the same number of goods or, as economists put it, an increase in the money supply. Fortunately, the Federal Reserve releases reports on the money supply every Thursday. Moderate inflation is usually considered about 2%. When you see money supply growing faster than the growth rate of the economy plus about 2%, you can expect higher than moderate inflation.

The second advance forecast of rising retail prices is the wholesale price level and once a month the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports on that with the Producer Price Index series. The Producer Price Index, or PPI, is actually a series of indexes or statistics for finished goods, those ready to be sold; intermediate goods, such as parts that still need assembled into finished products; and crude goods, which are basically commodities that haven’t had much processing beyond being dug out of the ground or harvested from the field.

Another advance figure is the monthly Import and Export Price Indexes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Because the earliest stages of inflation can affect the foreign currency markets, inflation often shows up quicker in imports than on the local car lot.

Ultimately the number you’ll be most intersted in is the Consumer Price Index or CPI, the widely reported monthly inflation number. Like the PPI, the CPI is actually a series of indexes that measure prices based on different baskets of goods. The most important number for investment purposes is the core CPI-U, a number based on urban prices for goods excluding food and energy. For personal purposes you may want to consider the full CPI-U, including food and energy, but remember that these numbers are very volatile from month to month, so you should do any planning based on long term trends, not a one time spike (or drop) in prices.

To keep completely up to date on inflation, you’ll want to follow the Federal Reserve’s Money Supply figures weekly and the various economic indicators released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which also releases the monthly jobs report, another very important number for both investors and workers.
